2015 Taylor Made / Adidas / Ashworth / National Car Rental Pro Am

Clarkston, MI – It took more than 18 holes to decide the gross best ball division champion for the Taylor Made / Adidas / Ashworth / National Car Rental Pro Am. After 4 teams tied with a -5 under 67, Prestwick Village’s own Brent Goulding and Chris Cunningham birdied the second playoff hole to walk away victorious.

Goulding and Cunningham got off to a rocket of a start shooting -4 under 32 on the front nine, including birdieing three out of the last four holes on the front nine. The back nine scored higher throughout the field, including for the winners, who shot a back nine -1 under 35, finishing with seven birdies on the day.

Goulding and Cunningham’s first Michigan PGA event win came after outdueling the groups of professional Brian Dice, of Orchard Lake Country Club and his amateur partner Alex Dice, professional Ryan Leitner of Hantz Golf Club of Tecumseh and amateur, as well as professional Jack Seltzer and amateur Doug Dingwall of King Par Golf, who finished the day at -5 under 67 (T2).

The net best ball division was decided by one stroke as professional David Graulau, of Greystone Golf Club and amateur partner Gerard Ziskie tallied a net low -7 under 65. Graulau and Ziskie finished with a gross score of -1 under 71, but used the net format to their advantage to walk away victorious. The duo was one of the few groups that improved on the back nine as they finished with a net -5 under 31 on the back.Net Champions with Jenkins

The format for the event was team best ball. Players not only competed for the gross best ball, but also were competing for the best net score. They placed in which ever division they finished higher in.

Finishing one stroke back in the net category was professional Josh Fryer, of Franklin Hills Country Club and his amateur partner Scott Rose. Fryer and Rose tallied -6 under 66 as their net best ball total, matching the pairing of Graulau and Ziskie, with a -1 under 71 gross total. Similar to the winners, the pairing also went lower on the back nine going -4 under 32 in the net format.
