Brian Cairns Wins 2017 Michigan Senior PGA Championship presented by Mercedes & O’Keefe

HARBOR SPRINGS, MI – The final round took place on Tuesday at Birchwood Farms Golf and Country Club as the players were also qualifying for seven spots to the 2017 Senior PGA Professional Championship presented by Mercedes – Benz and supported by Golf Advisor and John Deere to be played September 28 – October 1 at Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Brian Cairns, PGA from Fox Hills Leaning Center followed up his Monday 68 with an impressive 69 to claim his second Michigan Senior PGA Championship. After posting nine straight pars to start the round, Cairns fired three birdies on holes 11, 12 and 14 en route to securing his victory. Cairns clammed both the Overall and 50-59 title. Frank McAuliffe, PGA from Meadowbrook Country Club captured the 60-69 title with a score of two-over 146.

In the super senior ( 70+) division Larry Mancour, PGA took home top honors with rounds of 77 in round 1 and 82 in round 2 for a 159 total.
