Team from The Lochmoor Club wins the 2014 Casa de Campo Pro am presented by Ahead !

The team of professional Kyle Martin and his amateur partners : Art Nicholl, Terry Olson, David Bergamo and Matt Jankowski from the Lochmoor Club in Grosse Pointe Woods are the champions of the 2014 Michigan PGA Casa de Campo Pro Am presented by Ahead.

14 teams competed in this Michigan PGA travel pro am held at the Casa de Campo resort in the Dominican Republic. The teams consisting of one Michigan PGA Professional and 4 amateurs played a combination of a “One Gross / One Net Best Ball” on the Teeth of the Dog Course and a “Two Net Best Ball ” on the Dye Fore Course.

It was in Round 2 on the Dye Fore course that the winning team from The Lochmoor Club was able to take the lead in th2014 Championsis event. They recorded the low score of 120 in the two net best ball format for the day that included a course record round of 63 from their professional Kyle Martin. They finished the event with a total score of 372, which was good for a 6 shot victory over the team of professional Rob Lussenhop from Bay Mills Resort and his amateur partners ; David Jahn, Scott Erickson, Dennis Jahn and Todd Riford. Coming in third was the another team from The Lochmoor Club with professional John Pershern and his amateur partners Bill Raffoul, Tony Galbo, Scott Orhan and Jim Ciccarelli.

Casa de Campo Resort proved to be an excellent venue for this Pro Am that all of the participants really enjoyed.The event kicked off with an opening party at a beautiful setting at a restaurant on the  beach Wednesday night. All of the participants received their own golf cart to get around the resort to the golf courses, event functions and restaurants at this all inclusive event. Both the Teeth of the Dog Course and the Dye Fore were in excellent shape.
